please kindly help me about my psp i bought a psp 2006 version 5.03..please explain it to me how to play a game by using a memory card..and do i need to downgrade my psp or no need?coz im trying to use chickhen and to downgrade i dont know how..please help me i really appreciate it..

there is no need to downgrade. you have exactly what you need to install chickHEN.

you can download chickHEN r2 from here:

the instructions for installation can be found in the readme file.

once you have chickHEN installed, you need to run a program called pspident to figure out which motherboard your psp has installed. its very easy.

again, the instructions are in the readme file. after your know which motherboard your psp has installed, then we can proceed to the next step.

still nothing happen..i paste the chickhen and i follow the instruction in the read me file, to my psp and i run it but the psp shuts down and when i check the system version still 5.03 nothing happen.any other way?

that is what it is supposed to do. it will always freeze and shutdown. did you copy the h.bin file into the root of the mem stick?

yes i copy the h.bin and i put it on memory card..what do you mean root of the memory card?u mean the drive?bcoz my memory is drive I:\ so i just put there..ryt?

im done installing the chickhen and pspident and i found out that the motherboard model is TA-088 V3 and motherboard type is slim (02g)...what im going to do now after i found out the motherboard model...how can i play a games by using a memory card..and do i need to install a emulator?please advise me i dont know how?thanks in advance..

now you need to download and install cfwenabler 3.60. it will allow you to run homebrew apps (such as emulators) as well as play legal umd and ps1 backups.

yes, you can play legal umd backups from the mem stick using cfwenabler 3.60.
