3000 screen - PSP Slim Hacks

I've been wondering about this -they're for sale on ebay and not too terribly expensive. What would be involved in replacing my 2000's screen with a 3000 screen, and would it be worth it? Or would it even work?

I think they are incompatible.

i dont think it will work. parts are specific to the three differeent psp models. i.e., psp-1000 parts only work on psp-1000s, psp-2000s parts only work on psp-2000s, etc.

The reason is because they both use different LCD drivers.
