Having trouble playing Final Fantasy VIII
Alright so I downloaded all the Final Fantasy VIII iso disks, and I'm having trouble putting it on my PSP. I did it in multiple ways.
1. I first tried PSX2PSP, but I could only select up to 2 disks to make into an EBOOT. I tried to put these on my psp, and it ran but only had a black screen. I searched around and was told I needed a KEYS.BIN file.
2. Then I downloaded an EBOOT + KEYS.BIN file from another site, and it also gave me a black screen. I can press home and stuff and it gives me the PSX menu, but it was just a black screen. No it was not bricked, just black screen when running the game. Also, each disk had the same EBOOT + KEYS.BIN name, so it asked me to overwrite it and I put no, so this method I can't put multiple disks into the game folder.
Yes, I did everything correct by putting it into PSP/GAME, and made a folder titled Final Fantasy VIII. The psp ran the game, but just had a black screen.
If your lazy and didn't want to read all that, basic problem is, I get a black screen when running the game always. :/ Could use some help here, also could use some help putting the disks into one EBOOT file. (Tried all the methods, but still same black screen...)

i am going to assume that you own a legal copy of ff8 for the ps1.
what custom firmware do you have installed? do you have pops installed?

Well heaps of reasons,
Bad ISO Image (bad sectors)
If you have PAL 02080, it has copy protection, so you have to patch them before you convert into EBOOT but oh wait you downloaded them >.>
Try this site here PSX on PSP Compatibility List - TheGamersPress
If everything else fails you probably have use Popsation.

I don't really think it's a iso problem, since I downloaded many ISO's from different sites, and it wasn't a PAL version either, it was a NTSC version

then that is your problem. you need pops installed to play ps1 games.
you can download it here:

yea, some dont, because most cfw come with a built in version of pops. but some games like ff7 work better a diffferent version of pops. that why you can use popsoader to give you all the pops versions.
