problems with firmware

Hi All
I have a psp slim
it had a 4.01 M33 fw but unfortunately trying to update it I've installed 6.01 and it doesn't read the iso

someone told me that with another psp modified it will be possible to update again my psp
I found a flat psp: what can I do?
it seems that I should use a program called ultra pandora installer
does someone can help me?
I would like to install GEN-B

in order to install 5.50 gen-b2 on your psp, you will need a pandora battery and a magic mem stick. for the pandora battery, you can either buy one or softmod one using a psp that already has cfw. however, only psp-1000s and psp-2000s with a ta-085 motherboard are capable of softmodding pandora batteries.

for the magic mem stick, you will need to download and run rains ultralite mms maker. it is very easy. you can download it here:

once you have these two things, you will be able to install the custom firmware you desire.

so it is not correct that you can "pandorize" a normal battery of a modified psp?

yes, that is called softmodding. but it can only be done by modded psp-1000s and modded psp-2000s with a ta-085 motherboard.

yes, the psp-1000 is the phat. and yes, you can check the motherboard easily with a program called pspident. you can download it here:

you have to have chickHEN or a custom firmware installed in order to run pspident. again, all psp-1000s (phats) are able to softmod pandora batteries, but only psp-2000s (slims) with ta-085 motherboards are able to do this.
