and are you posotive i will be able to play playstation 1 games on it? cause on the chickhen r2 firmware site

you have to have chickHEN installed before you can install the cfw that will allow you to play ps1 games.

you have to install chickHEN before you install any of the custom firmwares (cfw). chickHEN should be installed first.

if you follow my guide, it does the same as the installer, but i like putting it separate better to prevent confusion.

Excelent guide, I followed it and I had no problems in installing CFW... although I used an older M33 version, now I just have to update to 5.00... do you use flash recover as well for the update?

good to hear that yo got it too work. you can use Recovery Flasher to install 5.00 M33.
or you can download both of these files from here:
Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-6 Released, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

download the 5.00M33-6 Update File above along with the 5.00OFW. extract them and put them in ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
extract the 5.00OFW eboot and rename it to 500.pbp.
extract the eboot for5.00M33-6 in the same folder.
