Need help please

I have bought a psp 1002 with cfw4.01 M33-2 on it and need to upgrade to at least 5.03 to play some of the games. What do I need to do. I'm a newbie

the easiest way is to download and run the 5.00 m33-6 update. depending on what game you want to play, you may need to update further to 5.50 gen-d and then to 5.50 gen-d2.

all the instructions should be in the articles and readme files. since you already have 4.01 m33 installed you should run into the encryption issues.
