custom firmware 3.71 m33-2

hi there' i have psp cfw 3.71 m33-2 can i change it to 5.00 m33-6
i need help

yes you can. the first thing that you will have to do is download 5.00 m33-6 and ofw 5.00 from here:

then you need to unzip the 5.00 m33-6 file and put the eboot into the UPDATE folder in your GAME folder of your psp. then you need to get the official 5.00 firmware and rename the EBOOT file to 500.PBP and put it in the UPDATE folder. then run the m33 installer. that should do it!

it will look like an offical firmware update. the screen will turn black and then blue (i believe) and then you follow the onscreen instructions and press > a few times and then X to restart and you are done.

since you already have this cfw installed, then i assume your psp is fully hackable. 5.00 m33-6 should not cause any problems.

if you want to double check, then you can download and run pspident. it will tell you which motherboard your psp has installed. if it is below ta-088v3 then you are fully hackable.

if you want to access the playstation store then you will need to install 5.50 gen-a/b. the playstation store doesnt work with 5.00 m33-6 .
