you can try to format it, but I think that if its corrupted completely, you may have to buy a new one.

yes, you can install 5.50 gen-b2 on a ta-088v2 mobo.

but remember, before you can get to that, you first must install 5.50 GEN A, then 5.50 GEN B, then finally, 5.50 GEN B2

Once you get 5.00 m33-6 installed, installing 5.50 gen-a/b/b2 is as easy as downloading the updates from the main site and running them.
