Need Some Advices playing dissidia with OFW 3.60
Hi guys, i've just started looking up about psps about a week ago, since i was planning to buy 1..
so i've bought the brand new crisis core:final fantasy VII 10th anniversary psp from eBay
because that's an untouched 2007 psp 2k,so.. totally hackable..
and as for the memory stick...
is it a good idea to buy 16gb magic ms + the pandora battery from PandoraSales.com || PSP Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Sticks || Custom PSP Firmware
are their products can be trusted?.. > <
or any other suggestion for me?...
and i am planning to install the 5.00 m33-6 cfw..
please give me some suggestions... > <
thanks guys...

well, not all psp-2000s are completely hackable. some of the later made ones have motherboard that are resistant to pandora batteries. since yours came out in 2007, it should have a completely hackable mobo. you wont know for sure until you get it.
if the psp has official firmware 5.03 or less, then you are good. if it has higher than 5.03, then it will depend on which mobo you have. if its completely hackable (which it should be) then you can use a pandora battery and mms to install cfw. it its partially hackable, then you are out of luck.
as far as buying these tools, pandora batteries are always nice to have. but mms are really easy to make yourself, so i would suggest only buying the pandora battery and making your own mms if the need be.

owh ic...
ok i'll have a look once i got the psp..
hmm.. can't we use the magic memory stick as a normal memory stick?..
since pandora sales have made quite a deal with the 16gb one... > <
it's almost at the same price as the 8gb on the stores here in australia..
but then i doubt that it's really genuine sony.. > <

you can use a mms as a regular mem stick. the reason i suggest that is that the price is usually a lot more than if you just went out and bought a regular mem stick.
the mms from the site shouldnt be fake. it doesnt have to be a sony, just pro duo with magicgate. i always buy sandisk.
anyways, if that mms is a deal then buy it. my suggestions are based on the market in the u.s., but its different in every country.

well, according to this guide:
Is This PSP Hackable?! Allow me to Answer That!!
your psp is completely hackable! that means that you can install a full, permanent custom firmware without the need of a pandora battery (although they are a great tool to have).
if you want to play dissidia, then you will have to install 5.50 gen-a/b.
the first thing you need to do is update your firmware to 5.03. then you need to download chickHEN and get it running. you can get both of these here:
ChickHEN Homebrew Enabler R2 for Frimware 5.03 | HEN for PSP-3000, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks
just download the 5.03 update and make sure the eboot is in a folder called UPDATE in the GAME folder. it should be here: ms0:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE.
after that, follow the instructions that come with chickHEN to get it running. once you get chickHEN running, then let us know and we will move to the next step.
i hope this helps.

actually Dissidia work on 5.00M33-6. I played it, then I guess I wasted my money again...I got a discount with a coupon in the mail, used it, bought it, dumped/backed-up enjoyed it and then I got bored >.< I think it maybe because I got Cloud to lvl 100...

yes, you can install 5.00 m33-6 without pandora. its the last step in the process. after you get chickHEN installed, just download and run hellcats recovery flasher.
you can download it here:
Hellcats Recovery Flasher v1.60 [5.00m33-6]
this is the step that you need to be careful. make sure your battery is charged and such. its not hard, just follow the directions in the readme.
