Hi,

I've got a PSP-2001 (God of War) edition running this CFW. Is there a current CFW that I can upgrade to that will run some of these newer games? (ie GI Joe, Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs) I think I need to get to CFW > 5.5 but not sure if there is such a thing yet and/or if I can upgrade to it. If there is, steps to upgrade would be appreciated. Tks for reading.

well, once again from: My thread of some quick hints, tips and more!

Updating to 5.00M33-6 when you are on a version prior to 5.00M33-6 Code: 1015

Start with this: Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-6 Released, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

1. Download 5.00 OFW. Extract it and rename it to 500.PBP. Put that in ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE.

2. Download the 5.00M33-6 Update. Put that eboot in ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE.

3. Go back to the XMB. Go to Game, then memory stick, and run the 5.00M33-6 Updater. Start it and then wait for it to finish. Do NOT stop in the middle of it.

4. When complete, it might restart since you upgraded from a version prior to 5.00. If not then it is OK.

by reading..That said, what is the major diff between the CFW I am running and 5.00 M33-6?

Many new features compared to your old CFW, and you can play most new games, only a couple can not. Dissidia works, and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny is confirmed to be working.

Can I upgrade (switch to) 3.95 gen-2 to 5.50 GEN or 5.03 GEN-A so that I can run Game Decrypter?

I've got a psp-2001, god of war edition and would appreciate a recommendation. TKS
