Problems running Spiderman 3/Syphon Filter on 5.03 gen b - PSP Slim Hacks

I've got a psp 3000 i've got a backup of spiderman 3 in cso format, and syphone filter dark mirror (cso and iso) both games dont load, i get the 80020148 error. I've got many other games working including gran tourismo and lego indiana jones 2, any ideas what i can do to make them work? is there a patch i can apply?

the known psp error code db says that code refers to an "unknown prx" and also occurs when fake mem sticks are used. what, if any, plugins do you have enabled, and is your mem stick fake?

I have some plugins in the 'seplugins folder' according to the gen recovery menu i have the sedna.prx (1 says [vsh] after and another says [game] i dont know if its actually working :S bu it says enabled) popsloader.prx and vshmenu.prx are both enabled

edit: i have an m2 memory card (sandisk one sandisk memory stick adapter) so its not fake. it may be worth noting i've successfully launched many other iso format games from the same memory card

well, im not exactly sure what to tell you. i havent heard of any of those plugins causing problems with other users, but if i had to pick one, i would definately say its probably the sedna plugin causing problems. you may try disabling them one at a time and launching games to see if that will allow you to pinpoint which one is causing the problem, if that is indeed the issue.

i disabled sedna and the popsloader in the recovery menu still no joy

haven't tried disabling the vshmenu but i'm afraid i wont be able to restore it :S anything else i can try?

Yes i have many iso backups that are working, even recent ones like lego indiana jones 2 and gran tourismo, i even got spiderman 2 to work and syphon filter logans shadow no problems aswell

i know the custom firmwares don't support all games explicitly but i'm aware that some newer games can be patched to work on CFW: i got a patched version of Assassins Creed to work (i had to apply a ppf patch to the iso file, though i didnt try the unpatched version) is there a way i can patch these isos?

5.03 gen-b should automatically patch them for you, but i guess you could manually patch them as well. try this:

I followed the steps in that tutorial but when i run the decrypter on my psp i get some error saying i downloaded x-men 2 iso and that i'm a very bad guy and its a fake dump :S am i doing something wrong? i've redumped the game a few times and got the same error

I stumbled upon PRXDecrypter 2.3 on another psp hacking website and tried that out and it worked, the eboot.bin decrypted successfully no problems at all and i was able to overwrite the one in the iso and save it out, and now spiderman 3 works like a dream! Thanks for your help anyway

you may want to take note of this if anyone else has trouble with the other decrypter
