On my Memory Stick that I'm using currently, a 4GB, I used to never be able to get ChickHEN to run. I always had to use my other one, a 2GB (that my grandma's dog ate == to load up the CFWe. But, it seems when I hold the 'R' trigger while booting up and continue to hold it while I do the ChickHEN method, I have a high success rate.

I also copied some eggs, but that had no bearing on my success rate prior to the 'R' trigger method.

If you need a step method, basically.

*Hold R Button
*Boot up PSP, keep holding R Button
*Use the method to load ChickHEN WHILE STILL HOLDING THE R BUTTON
*Success or Fail

Never heard of that before and tried it on both my 2k and 3k but can discern no major differnce seeing that my own method works flawlessly.... Ill add it to my tut as a variation though... thanks

I have PSP-3004 with a firmware version of 3.01...i had just bought this yesterday...but this has an manuf. date of Aug 2009....Am i eligable to hack my psp...which method will suit the best ....plzz help as iam new to this....

Read the tutorial that i posted... It has all the links and techniques needed to install HEN CFW on you partially hackable PSP.

First upgrade to OFW5.03 (NO HIGHER)
Then install ChickHEN
Then Choose between CFWE and GEN-B
Install your choice

Seriously. A manufacturing date of August? This is very peculiar. They have Firmware 3.01 on a 3000? Wow. And the firmware 5.03 came out and waas shipped with the 3000 in Feb. This is very strange and you are amazingly lucky. XD

Iam Sorry i made a mistake.....My firmware version is 5.01....Not 3.01...
