PSP Go, help?

I'm new to sony and PSP's as I've been a ds supporter for quite a while. I've just purchased a PSP Go, (after research) and I've been looking around, trying to get the gist of hacking a psp. But all the information that i've reading related to the 2000/3000 psp models.

If I've downloaded a game, will I be able to put it onto my psp go straight away...? Or will I need to wait till a hack comes out and learn the ropes for myself? Oh, and emulators... I understand what they do but I don't know what they're used for, exactly.

I've spent about 10 hours trying to learn this stuff, so I've ended coming here seeing as you guys are smart... and I'm a noob to this stuff ^^

There is currently no Hack for the PSP Go so go ahead and download your games for your Go and enjoy them!

Don't forget 1000 models, they are considered the best when it comes to hacking(as far as I know!).

A:If you downloaded it from the PSN store, yes(or if it's an official demo downloaded from the web) If you downloaded an .iso or .cso , currently you will not be able to play it on a PSP Go!.

A:Ok, I assume your talking about an .iso / .cso at this stage if your mentioning hacking. In that case, yes you will have to wait for an appropiate hack. There shouln't many ropes to learn though. Once you have an iso loader , or a custom firmware (which can be tricky to get running sometimes), iso's are easy to run.

Q:Oh, and emulators... I understand what they do but I don't know what they're used for, exactly.

A: They are used exactly for what they do ... They allow you to play (for example) GBA , snes, nes, sega megadrive games ("roms" in the case of games stored on cartridges).
They are used for that exact purpose, ie to play gameboy games(for example). Note you need a homebrew enabled PSP. Currently the PSP Go! cannot do such a thing on the scale necessary for running emulators.

The only reason I chose to get a Go is because my gut instinct was why get the old when I get the new, y'know... and I guess eventually there'll be a way around it.

Join the queue, the waiting game stadium is currently full to the brim! I'm hoping there will be a decent development by the new yr, if not , I'm gonna sell my Go! and revert to one of it's predecessors!
