CFW/LCFW INSTALLATION INFORMATION & DOWNLOAD LINKS

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE: ALL PRO LCFW/CFW VERSIONS ARE EFFECTIVELY IDENTICAL! EG. 6.20 PRO IS THE SAME AS 6.60 PRO EXCEPT FOR THE ADDITION OF THE PERMA-PATCH ON 6.20!
SO UNLESS YOU'RE ON 6.20 OFW (INSTALL 6.20 PRO WITH PP) UPDATE TO/STAY ON 6.60 AND INSTALL 6.60 PRO
All cfw’s/lcfw’s are specific to the ofw installed – ie. 5.00 M33-6 cfw requires 5.00 ofw AND 6.60 PRO-x lcfw requires 6.60 ofw. If your PSP is not on an ofw that has a cfw/lcfw designed for it, update to the required ofw (Also note the the PSP GO has different firmware versions to UMD models):

·Download the required eboot.pbp file: 6.20/35/39/60 (Links below)
·Place the file as follows: ms0://PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP
·From the PSP main menu (XMB) under GAME run the updater (make sure the PSP battery has a minimum of 78% charge)
·Once completed – check the OFW version on the XMB: SYSTEM>SYSTEM SETTINGS>SYSTEM INFORMATION - Should now read either 6.20/35/39/60
    SONY OFW UPDATERS (Common)
    ·5.00
    ·5.50
    ·6.20 - 6.20GO
    ·6.35 - 6.35GO
    ·6.39 - 6.39GO
    ·6.60 - 6.60GO
    CFW FILES for CHA's (Common)
LCFW FILES for all PSP's (Common)
    6.xx PRO-x Installations
·Extract the archive for the cfw/lcfw for your ofw - 6.20/35/39/60
·Copy the following files from the archive: PROUPDATE (All installations); FastRecovery (PHA Installations WITHOUT the Permanent Patch); 620PRO_Permanent (PHA Installations on 6.20 ONLY!) & CIPL (for CHA PSP Installations ONLY - there is a failsafe built in but test this at your OWN risk!)
·Place the necessary files for your type of Installation on your memory stick: ms0://PSP/GAME/
·Access the memory stick under GAME on the XMB and run the PROUPDATE file - following the prompts to completion (This folder and files can now be deleted if you wish)
·If you are installing the CIPL (CHA PSP's ONLY) run that file next from GAME on the XMB and follow the prompts to completion (After the installations you may delete all the folders and files related to the installation from the memory stick)
·If you are installing the Permanent Patch (6.20 ONLY!) run the file from GAME on the XMB and follow the prompts (Press X and then X again to test the install - Recommended - IF you return to the XMB restart the file and press X and O to fully install) - please note that a file called vshorig.prx is created on the root of the memory stick - leave it there BUT make a copy and store it somewhere safe - it is needed for uninstalling the Permanent Patch! Once completed you may delete the folder and files if you wish
    ·You now have lcfw installed
·For those without the CIPL or Permanent Patch - Use the FastRecovery file to restart the lcfw after a reboot, crash or battery drainage.

OTHER TIPS YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW:
1: CHECKING YOUR MS FOR MAGICGATE SUPPORT
·On Photo-Video-Music-Game icons on the XMB scroll down to the MS
·Press Triangle and then press X on 'Information'
    ·MAGICGATE - Supported/YES = Original MS
    ·MAGICGATE - UnSupported/NO/Unknown = Fake MS
·Fake MS's suffer from Data Transfer Speed issues, Actual Memory Issues, Data Corruption/Deletion
·Not advised for MMS creation or OFW installation
    2: FORMATING THE FLASH1
    ·Fully switch off the PSP
·While Holding Start, Select, Square & Triangle turn the PSP on
·After 3 seconds release the buttons and the PSP will boot with the factory defaults restored
    3: CHANGING VERSION.TXT
·Press ‘SELECT’ to access VSH menu
·Change the “USB DEVICE” to flash0
·Connect via USB and open the folder "vsh" then “etc”
·Locate version.txt , open it , you'll see a number X.XX right beside the word release at the top
·Change the number to 5.50 , save changes , exit USB mode
·Set USB DEVICE to Memory Stick

I suggest you add this note too
in easy words before updating, use sgdeemer to save your SAVEGAME in decrypted form.
Update the FW & then load that decrypted SAVE directly using sgdeemer.

If your PSP 3000 or PSP GO has OFW5.05 or HIGHER

Can a part be added there about DOWNGRADING ?
I mean only the 3g Module PSP 3ks or use the TN HEN option
