Hi guys, I'm completely new to this and I'm stuck at the first hurdle. I have read through other threads in search of a solution but I can't find one so I started a new thread.

I have tried the PROUPDATE for 6.60 but I get the message 'sorry, this program doesn't support your FW (Then a bunch of numbers)

My PSP is currently at 6.60 and when I try to update it wont let me because it's already at 6.60.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

    Welcome to the Forums!!

You are probably trying to use another version ie. 6.20 or 6.35
    Try this one for 6.60 6.60 PRO-C fix3

Thanks it worked! I feel like an idiot now. So is there anything else I need to do now or is that everything done?

Yes. I need to know if your psp is hackable or particially hackable.
When you say slim, to you does that mean 2000 or 3000. To mean it means 2000.

Run this on your PSP PSPIdent and post the results.

Some 2000s are hackable and some are not.
Run PSPident and I can tell you which you have, so then I can suggest either the cIPL or FastRecovery. The difference between permanent or not.

Noob question again; how do I use PSPident? I've downloaded it but I'm not sure what goes where.

The link I gave you above is bad. Get it from here PSPIdent if you don't already have it.
I will fix my previous post' link.

Extract the PSPIDENT folder into your PSP/GAME folder
run it from the XMB under Game->Memory Stick

I basically need to know what motherboard it says you have.

Alright, appears you have a completely hackable PSP 2000. Awesome for you.

Now, from the "6.60 PRO-Cfix3" archive you downloaded extract the CIPL_Flasher folder to your PSP/GAME folder
Run it from the XMB under Game->Memory Stick
Now you will have permanent CFW!

I'm back already. I have a CSO of a game and I'm not sure what to do with it or where to put it.

.iso/.cso all go into the ISO folder on the root of your memory stick. ie. ms0:/ISO/ <-put your iso/.cso here

Then will I find it under Game>Memory stick? and will it just run if I click on it or is there anything else I need to do?

    Welcome to the Forums!

If you are having the same problem, wouldn't the same solution work for you too?

    What firmware are you on?
What are you trying to install?
