Can I 'jump' from CFW 5.00 M33-4 to CFW 5.50 Gen D2?

If yes, what files and 'tools' required?
What are the steps?

Thank you in advance.

1)Download the first file (5.50 gen d)
2)Run the installer ( XGEN UPDATER )
3)Install 5.50 gen-d
4)download the second file
5)Install gen-d2.
6)Done

Question Trying To Downgrade From OFW 6.10 on PSP2001

Hi...I have a PSP2001 with OFW 6.10...I got it from a guy at work so I dont have the original box to see what version or what came with it...Im doing everything I can to downgrade from OFW 6.10 to anything that I can install CFW...I make the magic memory stick...I bought a Pandora battery from PandoraSales.com out of the USA in FL...When I put the Pandora battery in I hold L trigger and insert and nothing happens...The green power light comes on but thats it...I let it go for about 20mins still nothing...Does anyone have any advice on to what that means...I dont think its a newer PSP so it should be hackable...Is it a bad battery?...Is the battery not charged enough?...Let me know what you guys think?...Thanks!

I would presume that you have a TA-088v3 motherboard, which is only hackable with 5.03 ofw (not yours - 6.10) and you cannot downgrade with this motherboard, sorry. I think this because it sound like you did everything right and it just didnt work. 3000s dnt give the green light with a pandora but 2000s do. the last model of the 2000 was the 088v3 which could still boot a pandora but will not use a MMS.

if you wish to comfirm if you have a v3 mobo then go to

Is This PSP Hackable?! Allow me to Answer That!!

check the serial number! its under the battery so you dnt need ur box.
if you do not have a TA-088v3 mobo THEN (after checking) you could try remaking the MMS or checking if the MS is magicgate...

EDIT: wow that was some fast replys! have i found another race partner?

Did you inject IPL succesfully?

If the PSP happens to be a TA-088v3 mobo, then there is nothing else you can do about it.

Can you tell us your DATE CODE and SERIAL#? It is located at the back of the psp, when you remove the battery.

If it's says 8A or 8B then it is fully hackable! If it is 8C and above the hacakability of it is questionable (TA-088v3).
