if your serial doesnt do the trick, the only other option you have is to get a pandora battery and give it a shot. if it works, then you can downgrade and install a cfw. if it doesnt work, then your only out a couple of bucks.
a pandora battery is the only way to downgrade your psp, if its completely hackable, which means it has a ta-088v2 or less mobo. that is your only option. |
Thanks for your help.  I discovered the following about my PSP:
S/n: HA0220000
Unit ID Letter: G
Date Code: 8B
So it looks like it's hackable, just need a Pandora battery...
...or I can be stingy and wait for someone to make it possible to hack without a Pandora battery with a higher firmware. 
I think I'll just get the battery. Cheers!

Your SN# & date code seems to be hackable, that's great! your only problem is your OFW.
You can just buy a pandora or buy a spare battery to hardmod it!

hello,
i am a new kid but.
i want a psp with CFW.
but my psp is OFW(official firmware:P) on 6.0 how can i get 5.03
Please help me out ?

the only way you can downgrade from ofw 6.00 is if you have a fully hackable psp (psp-1000 or psp-2000 with a ta-088v2 or less mobo).

well, the only way to be sure is to get a pandora battery & magic mem stick. that is the only way to tell if your motherboard is completely hackable or not.

ok so i have a psp 3000, with the Serial: HJ0200XXX
proabably a TA-090v2 Motherboard, with it being the 3000 series
but i have the 5.01 software still.(if that helps in any way)
Is it still possible for me to hack it without downloading chickHEN?
cuz that won't let me play ISO files.
plz help-- orz

Yes you can hack your psp but once you CFW is installed and you turn off your psp to will boot back to OFW, so follow the steps here For PSP 3000 : A Complete Guide For Enabling Custom Firmware
Also you need chicken to hack it.

first you need to update your firmware to version 5.03. then you can run chickHEN.
if you want to play isos, you will need to install a custom firmware, either cfwenabler 3.60 or 5.03 gen-a.
you can find the 5.03 firmware update and chickHEN r2 here:
