Is This PSP Hackable?! Allow me to Answer That!!

the psp arrived today, and an hour after getting home its running full CFW 8) 8) 8)

all date codes and box codes confirmed what that ident prog said and it has a TA-085 mobo.... so many thanks to the boffins on the site, really made it very stright forward, and couldnt really be simpler :laugh:

excellent, very chuffed i managed to do it.. now to get all my old ps1 cames converted to ISOs. going to be a long night

Anyway, On to my question which i hope you can answer.

I am based in the UK and have just purchased a PSP 2003 CW, I have read through this entire thread, And as i have said, Am still uncertain if it is indeed hackable.

PSP details.

PSP 2003 (Ceramic White)

Serial number: HB2767108 (Hackable ?), Though i know it says 2001 only, But still wanted to check.

Date code: 8B (Hackable)

Firmware version: 3.95 (Hackable)

Unit ID number (On box): G (Hackable ?)

If it would indeed be possible for one of you guys to confirm either way, And if it is possible to hack, Could one of you point me to the guide i would need to follow, It would be greatly appreciated, And thank you very much in advance.

I just check my PSP, it is TA-088v3 , so i cannot hack it ? if i hack it is will die anyway ? I am niewbie please show me how to hack it if you know the fix . Thanks.

It worked great . I used 5.03 + Chicken R2 + 3.60 = Hackable for 2001 TA88v3

Hi guys, I've bought a brand new PSP 2001 piano black for my kid. I've been reading some threads, but still I have some confusion, can you help me?
Firmware version is 4.01, serial # is HU2670XXX, but I don't know from where to know if it has a TA-088v3 motherboard.
Should I use 5.03 + Chicken R2 + 3.60 as sabercats did? Any tutorials to avoid ruin my kid psp? All help will be VERY HIGHLY appreciated, thanks in advance!

No problem. Get OFW 5.03 then get chickHen R2 running, then you can use pspident to find out what psp mobo you have. Then you can hack your psp accordingly.

Thanks Al-Garni for your kind answer, but I tried to download OFW 5.03 from here and link is broken...(PSP Firmware 5.03 Released. Giftshift patch?, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks).

sorry i was new to this PSP. Just bought one piano black slim PSP2006.....i did use ChickHEN and loaded with newest CFW Enabler 3.60. All work fine to load on my PSP. Finally comes to the game with .iso and .cso extension putting in my ISO folder. 13 games was store in my ISO folder but only few can be seen....i wonder why? i thought the newest version of chickHen and CFW Enabler can play most of the games..but result is not like i expected....such as
1) NEED for speed underground Rivals can load to PSP but once click on, hang at the loading page...
2) Prince of Persia Revelations, same hang at the loading page....
3)call for duty....on loading page, suddenly my psp shutdown....after restart i need to crack PSP gain....
4) Street Fighter ALpha3 cannot be see in my psp...
5) Tekken also cannot be see in my psp....
6)Need_for_Speed_Carbon_Own_the_City_EUR_rip...can not be seen in my psp...

Well, fortunately there are few i can play with was
1) Bomberman
2) God of wars
3) Luxor 2


i wonder why this is happenning? is it the ver of cfw is not compantible with this game? but i did try on cfw enabler v1.0 still result are the same

My firmware ver is 5.03
