Yeah looks like I got ripped off, cause yes I paid for a premade one. Oh well, guess I'll shoot them a nasty email or just let it go.

I reformated my 1 gig PSP card through the PSP. Now do I want to get rid of everything from that folder or do I paste these things to the, MP_ROOT file?

edit: yeah I got ahead of myself, nevermind that.

Free file host with a difference!

My thread of some quick hints, tips and more!

How To Make A Magic Memory Stick(MMS) Code: 1013

Download Rain's Ultra Lite MMS Maker for 5.00M33-4 and 5.00OFW both from here:

Rains UltraLite MMS Maker for 5.00 M33-4, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

Easy Steps

1. Rename the 5.00OFW eboot.pbp to 500.pbp.
2. Put 500.pbp in the root of your memory stick. The root is like the main menu of the memory stick, it is refer to as ms0:/. This should be alone and not in any folders.
3. Run Rain's Ultralite MMS Maker for 5.00M33-4. If you are on Vista/Windows 7, you must be greeted by a UAC screen.(The screen that asks for administrator privileges.
4. Point Rain's MMS Maker to where your memory stick is. Example: E:, G:, F: etc.
5. If you want to, you can Format your memory stick by checking the box that says Format Memory Stick. Be sure to check the box that says back up memory stick if you are.
6. Click Make MMS then wait.
7. It will tell you if you are done, then you may close the program.

How to use your Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick Code: 1014

Make sure the PSP is off, the MMS is removed, and that the Pandora Battery is removed.

Easy Steps

1. First insert your MMS.
2. Hold the L trigger.
3. Place the Pandora Battery in.
4. From there you can install CFW by selecting that option.

Ok I have the downloaded, now is the 5.00OFW eboot.pbp found after you extract the PSP_500_FW_UPDATE.RAR?

And also will the MMS Maker for 5.00M33-4 extract this 500 file to the MMS or will I have to manualy place it somewhere. I know I'm being a pain but I do really appreciate all the help you are giving me!

no problem, just extract to your desktop for now. once you do that, you then rename the eboot.pbp to 500.pbp

put that in the root of your MS, not MP_ROOT. it has to be by itself and not in any folders. the root is like the first thing when you got to your MS.

I am getting an error.

First I have the card hooked up to my laptop through an adaptor, not my PSP.

This message is coming up.

The IPL Failed to Inject.
General write error during IPL Injection. This could be due to a problem with the memory stick. Without the IPL Pandora will not boot. Would you like to continue anyways?

I've tried 2 memory sticks now with that program and on both it says that it can not write the IPL.

It says that the pandora battery will not work without the IPL being written, any ideas on this?

I've read that this can be caused by fake cards and you can see if the cards are fake due to its Magicgate status.

My one gig is supported under Magicgate so it is not a fake, but it is still getting the same error message. Should I try a different MMS maker?

Ok it looks like I made a MMS, YAY!!! I had to actually use my psp as the device the card was loaded into and then run the MMS creator. After that it went smoothly and it is loading now. I hit X to run the first thing that popped up, the 500.boot.

Not only was the 4 gig I bought not made into an MMS, but it's a knockoff as well. Ah I am so happy that I went through Pandora Battery Buy, sarcasm. If anyone is reading this who is thinking of buying from them, please dont.

Their customer service is awful, it takes closer to 20 days for you to receive your product, not 7, and when they do send it...welp it doesnt work!

SOoo back on topic.

Looks like I just installed and rebooted. Now I replace my old battery correct...and then what? Do I just download some programs and put them onto the PSP? I am really looking to put my old SNES games on here so I can take them on the road, lord knows I have enough of the things.

Edit: I can also use my 4gig, fakey, MS now too correct? Since I'll just be using it to hold and load data, or do I need to keep the MMS in?

you can use the fake for storage, be sure to change your UMD Driver to M33 on the VSH menu by pressing Select on the XMB. Nice to see you got it working.
AND PSPFAN HERES ANOTHER BAD REVIEW FROM PANDORA BATTERY BUY! XD

BTW: Homebrew/PS1 games go in ms0:/PSP/GAME/NAME OF APP OR PSX GAME/eboot.pbp<thats how it should look like.
ISO/CSO games go into the ISO folder, the ISO folder(in caps) must be in the root of the MS.

you won't have to keep the MMS in.

Hmm do I need an emulator for PSX or can I just run them?

I downloaded Jade Cocoon, one of my favorite old games, and it came as a .bin. I do not believe there was an eboot attached.

I placed it in PSP/GAME/JadeCocoon but when I went to load it up it said that the data was corrupted and could not play.

please dont discuss downloading games on the forum. this site does not support piracy. this thread could be locked and you could be banned from the site. if you own the game you have downloaded, then please disregard this message.

now then, you need a plugin called popsloader to play ps1 games. you can download an easy installer here:
Popsloader Easy Installer for 5.00 M33 v1.1 | Pops Installer, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

psx games also need to be converted to eboots so you can play them. eboots can be made from .bin or .iso files. the program i use is called impaler psx. it works great and can even create single eboots of multi-disc games (like ff7).

impaler psx can be downloaded here:
Impaler PSX eBoot Creator

hope this helps.
