Default Time to move on, upgrading from 5.00m33-6 to 5.50 GEN-B2

Alright, with the upcoming ofw 6.00, and the newest games requiring the need for this official firmware, and the fact that DAX has confirmed there will be no plans for a 6.00m33, I think it's time for me to move on from my trust 5.00m33-6 Slim PSP, into the dreaded GEN cfw, seeing how they are most likely to release a 6.00 cfw.

Question is though, can anyone give me some simple steps to upgrading my 5.00m33-6 to 5.50 GEN-B2? Or should I say, to 5.50 GEN-A since I heard you have to go from A to B to B2.

yes you heard exactly correct. you upgrade from M33 to Gen-a then b then b2. but there is still a rumor that 6.00 Gen-a is gonna come soon (just an FYI). anyways just download the stuff from the main site: pspslimhacks.com. or download them from dl.qj.net

There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with 5.50 GEN b2. It is as good as M33. There is nothing to worry about.

Alright, so it looks like I'm upgrading to 5.50 GEN. But I need a few pointers. What firmware should I have before upgrading? Can I just upgrade from 5.00 m33 straight off or do I need to upgrade to some official firmware first? Also, do I need to remove all my ChickHEN stuff and hellcat's recovery flasher?

you should be able to go straight from 5.00 m33-6. no need to remove anything.
