first off, let me say this is a more advanced procedure. you shouldnt try this unless you know what you are doing. just follow my instructions and you will be fine. IF ANYONE ELSE TRIES THIS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BRICK IF YOU DO IT WRONG!
ok. lets get this thing going. - the first thing you need to do is download hellcats recovery flasher. if you already have it, great. if not, you can get it here:
Hellcat's Recovery Flasher v1.60: Detection of HEN mode, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks
- next you need to download the ofw 5.00 update. after you download it, you need to unpack it, change the name to 500.PBP, and place it in the RECOVERY folder inside the hellcats recovery flasher you just downloaded and unpacked (or already had).
you can get ofw 5.00 here:
http://pspslimhacks.com/index.php?dl_id=138
- after that, copy the RECOVERY folder from hellcats recovery flasher, and put in on your psp at ms0:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY.
- start your psp, and run hellcats recovery flasher. when the screen comes up with the "loading....." prompt, hold down L+R+SELECT until it loads. this will put hellcats recovery flasher into advanced mode. a screen will pop verifying this. select "yes, enabled advanced mode".
- from there, scroll down and select "/!\ Install clean ORIGINAL FW (DANGEROUS!!!)". this will allow you to install original firmware version 5.00.
- after you select that option, it will proceed to install official firmware 5.00. after it is done, press X (or whatever) to restart. give it a second. when the green/orange light goes off on the right side, it is safe to restart your psp.
- now you need to update to official firmware 5.03. download and unpack it, and place the UPDATE folder in ms0:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE.
you can download it here:
http://pspslimhacks.com/index.php?dl_id=235
run the update. you should now be at ofw 5.03.
- you should know the steps from here on out. download and run chickHEN, and then run hellcats recovery flasher (you can use the same one from before, just dont go into advanced mode) again, and this time choose to install cfw 5.00 m33-6.
you can get chickHEN here:
ChickHEN Homebrew Enabler R2 for Frimware 5.03 | HEN for PSP-3000, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks
i am not going to guarantee this will work, but its worth a shot. if this doesnt work, then you will need to get a pandora battery & mms and do that method. hopefully this will get the job done.

well, the only other thing i can think of is that your nand or idstorage may be corrupt. unfortunately, im not the most knowledgeable on this subject.
i will send a pm to gbdallin and dim33, they seem to have the most knowledge on this subject. hopefully they can help.

How about running a program other than Hellcats? Installing DCv7 or 8 will work if you have a pandora, or you can just install it to your stick and try running it from the XMB. Have you tried going into the Recovery menu and formatting your flash1 and resetting your settings? The one, and probably most important, thing that I missed was if you have access to a pandora and what mobo type you have. If you aren't sure of your motherboard type, install PSPident and find out. It may even be possible for you to softmod a pandora battery.
EDIT: the next step is clearing out your NAND and rebuilding your keys. I've seen this happen several times before, back when I was modding professionally, so don't worry, there is a way past this.
