Looking for some quick help. - PSP Slim Hacks

I have a psp 2000, im currently running 5.03 chickhen and i wish to kick it over to 5.50 Gen-B2.

I need to know if my psp has a TA088v3 in it or not. and im wondering how i can figure this out.

Can anyone tell me some ways to figure it out? other than seeing if Gen bricks my psp? lol

Edit: I can take my psp apart to check if need be, but I would need to know how to identify the it. o.o

Run chickHEN and run PSPIdentv4, if PSPIdentv4 works then you have another type of mobo, if Idoesn't then it's TA088v3

But if your psp was cutomized with a permanent CFW (M33 or GENA full) before, meaning, the CFW remains in the system when removing the battery and power off, then, your mobo is below TA088v3.

The easist way to find out is the date code located at the back of your psps, remove the battery and look at the sticker.

If your date code is something like 8A, 8B or 8C the psp has a mobo below TA088v3, psp with those date codes are completely hackable.

Ah! Super duper. all i could find was darkAlex`s identifier and... that stupid thing was hardly useful unless you have pandora`s up the yingyang

Just to clear things up the PSPIdent v4 was darkalex's, it was modified to run under chickHEN r2 and from xmb menu.

Yeah but the way he originally set it up, you needed a pandora`s battery and.. bleh..

He complicated things. >_>

Anyways, i suggest you use 5.00 M33-6 and not to update to OFW 5.50 not unless you have pandora.

If you are after Yoshihiro's game decrypter, his version 3 and 4 has a eboot patch for new games to work on M33 CFW and 5.03 MHU as well.

they work on 5.03 and 5.00 but they don`t all work. A lot of games don`t read.
They work practically flawlessly on 5.50 Gen-B2

i have an extra batteries and sd cards, i can make a pandora if need be.

PSP's dont use SD cards, unless you mean a SD to MS converter
