"You should try to turn your psp to sleep mode. If you turn your psp off completely, the ram is emptyed. For that reason, you'll have to load chickHen R2 and CFWenabler 3.60 again"

Is this true? I was having the same problem. I followed the excellent instructions, and everything was working perfectly. All the PSP and PSX games were booting just fine. But then I went to turn off the PSP completely, like I always do when I'm finished playing, and the custom firmware of 5.03 mm-6 reverts back to the regular, official 5.03. This is quite annoying since I spent the entire morning trying to do everything correctly.

Is there anyway that I can turn the PSP off completely and then turn it back on and still be able to retain the custom firmware like it was before with the Pandora's CF? That was working fine for me until I needed to upgrade the firmware to play a Super Robot War Alpha that was translated, and somewhere along the upgrading I completely messed up the Pandora's CF. Thanks.

yes, its true. you can do this by pressing the power switch up and then releasing it instead of holding it up to turn the psp off. this places your psp in stand-by mode, which basically conserves power but keeps everything in memory (i.e. you custom firmware). you can restore the psp by pressing the power switch up and releasing it again.

because the custom firmware resides in your psps temporary ram memory, you will have to reload it everytime you power down completely. but using stand-by mode should help with this.

Thanks for replying. I knew that the custom firmware wouldn't be lost if I'm in sleep mode. I just have to be carefull not to turn it off completely, or let someone else use my PSP.

By the way, I just love how all my PSX games booting up automatically without having to use the Poploader. Fantastic.

first you have to get cxmb for 5.00 m33. you can get it here:
CXMB for 5.00 M33 Released, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks

after it is unpacked. copy/merge the contents of the "lite" folder to the root. then open up the vsh.txt and make sure this line is in there: ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx

after that, you may need to go back to the cfwenabler 3.60 menu to plugins and enable cxmb.

you should now be able to use .ctf themes, and only .ctf themes. if you try to use flash0 it will brick your psp. themes go in ms0:\PSP\THEME.
